The major renovation and extension of a Victorian villa on the Dorset coast has recently been completed. The works looked to modernise the house whilst opening it up to the garden and views of the coast beyond, including a glass-box kitchen extension and a striking contemporary dormer window at the top of the roof. The largely glazed extension is formed in sliding glass panels that open up at the corner, allowing the kitchen / dining room to spill out into the garden. The zinc-wrapped dormer window allows panoramic views for a newly formed master bedroom suite in the second floor attic. A linear reflection pool leads your view out into the garden, and a new swimming pool and outdoor seating area sits snugly on the western side of the house to enjoy the evening sun and views across the rolling Dorset hills.
